Great model. Good fit. Tracks need stretching so as to sit properly on the wheels and the turret finish is smooth so a bit of work involved in roughing it up so as to look as if casted. Great fun.

Very good value for a good model. I was very happy with the results. This kit has been around for a long time and is known not to be 100% accurate in its portrayal of a T-62, but it really shouldn't bother anyone but the most fussy modellers. It has the look of a typical cold war era Soviet tank and is great fun to make so whats not to like.

This is the cheap & cheerful Russian tank exported all over the world and featured in many Middle East conflicts. This is also Tamiya's cheap & cheerful model, but it's a fine model and well detailed. It betrays its 1970's origin with fittings for batteries and engine, now no longer included. Compared to more expensive models, what you don't get is any interior detail, clear plastic pieces for lights and periscopes, fiddly photo-etched pieces (there is however a metal grille for the engine deck) and anything other than minimal decals - for 3 different Russian units. What you do get is appropriate colour polystyrene (dark green), moving wheels, hatches that open & close & one crew figure. The spade is moulded on the deck rather than a separate piece. However, at the end of the day it produces a perfectly satisfactory model at minimal cost.
