“I'm relatively new to modelling, so I picked up this kit because, not only is it cheap you also get 2 in a box, so it'll give me free reign to experiment, without worrying about messing up too much. On first impressions from the sprues, I'm very impressed. the detailing on the parts, whilst simple, is perfectly clear and crisp. There's virtually no flashing to speak, and the little molding imperfections are all located inside the model, so won't be visible when assembled. The detailing on the wheels, which come as one piece with the tracks, is especially impressive for a kit at this price point, even if the detailing on the tracks themselves leave a little to be desired. The sprues also don't include a coaxial machine gun for the turret, which would have been a nice finishing touch. Other than the two identical sprues, there's nothing else in the box. The kit doesn't include decals or an instruction sheet; the instructions being printed on the back of the box. At this price point, I don't mind not having any decals, but some more detailed instructions would have been nice. On assembly, the parts went together very well, with very little need for filing, and no need for filler at all. It was here that I noticed the shortcomings of the instructions however. The details on positioning some of the parts seem to be referencing details that weren't on my model. They show instructions for placing a coaxial gun that wasn't on my sprues, and there are parts on the sprue that aren't even mentioned in the on the assembly diagram. Being a simple kit though, it wasn't too hard to figure out what should go where, but it would be nice to have instructions that fit the kit a little more. All in all, I'm very impressed with this kit, given the cost. I'll almost definitely be buying armourfast kits in the future. The Only things holding me back from a full 5 star review are the lack of good instructions, and some minor missing details such as the tracks and lack of a coaxial gun.”

“This figure is actually rather nice. The sculpt on the muscles, especially the legs and arms, conveys an impression of strenght without going over the top with muscles. The posing is also rather good, and the helmet, shield and lower leg armour look like hammered beaten copper. I repainted it wholly, but that has been the plan all along, though the paint apps are, probably, the only weak point of this figure.Only minor gripe: the right hand holding the spear is, likely because it needs to be removable, a bit less detailed that the rest of the figure, giving the impression of...too many fingers! Nothing an ex-acto knife and some sculpey cannot fix, of course.”
