Looks to be a good kit, going to be fun converting it to r/c! First class service from Wonderland Models (as usual) could ask for better.

This is an impressive kit, especially in 1/35th scale, and will require a bit of room for display at almost a metre in length. There are not too many pieces in the kit, hardly surprising as the 4 elements of the hull represent the lion's share of the model. As often happens, with such large pieces of injection-moulded plastics, there is some warping but mercifully, no twisting. I certainly recommend the use of clamps when gluing the 4 hull pieces together. The ingenious use of magnets to permit the bow doors to open or shut is a very neat idea and the torpedoes are excellent models in their own right - quite different from those on the Italeri S-100. The only problem I had was that when the fins are in place, they wouldn't fit inside the tubes so some judicious pruning was required. The conning tower is nicely detailed and some modified Italeri S-100 crew figures can enliven a display of the boat when on the surface. I'm building this into a dockside diorama, moored next to a S-100 alongside 3 sets of the Italeri dock kits. The only drawback I have with the Bronco kit is the absence of info on paint colours for areas such as the interior of the bow section (when the tube doors are open) and also the inside of the conning tower. A trawl through web images is useful for weathering details but there are very few colour shots - maybe Signal publish some suitable photos but I haven't been able to source any yet. I can heartily recommend this unusual 1/35th scale model - with a little extra work, it produces a very impressive likeness of this coastal U-boat. And at around £55, it offers superb value!

kit is very accurate when compared to my plans and photos, some of the smaller details i.e. the schnorkel head could do with a little more detail but this is quiet easy to add if you want to go that far, also there are some details missing from the conning tower but again with some decent photos these are easy to make with a little scratch building.I think it will look really good along side my 1/32 type VIIC/41
