“My kids say these are very comfortable and breathable but I worry that they do not offer as much protection as hard shell shorts. That said, my kids love them and find them easier to wear, especially with the roller hockey trousers. My daughter swapped the box for her girls pelvic protector and the leg straps keep it in place well. I had to buy the adult size for my son as the legs on the junior size are not long enough for a 13 year old and left the bottom of his thigh unprotected. As these are so stretchy, the adult size fits him and the longer leg length is much better.”
