The M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 9–18mm 1:4.0–5.6 (18–36mm*) expands your lens system with an ultra‑wide‑angle zoom. It is extremely compact, weighing in at only 155g and with a total length of 49.5mm made possible by the retractable parking mechanism. But that's not all: you can easily create powerful effects of perspective or use it for excellent close‑up shooting with a minimum distance of 25cm from the lens front.
The perfect wide-angle zoom for travellers
This lens's smallness and compactness make it the best take-along, wide-angle lens you can imagine – just perfect for your journeys when heavy equipment can be cumbersome. And despite its size, this OLYMPUS lens will impress you with its amazing image quality.
Convenient inner focus
The M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 9–18mm 1:4.0–5.6 lens comprises an inner focus so that the front lens does not turn – which is essential when using filters, such as polarising filters. That's because they have to be fixed in the correct position to function properly and shield reflections as desired.
High-speed AF with low noise
The MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) mechanism gives you quick, smooth AF that is silent and accurate thanks to its high-precision engineering. The focusing lens is moved using a metallic shaft and feed screw to reduce focusing noise to a minimum.

Really good wide-angle lens with minimal distortion. Shame that Olympus do not provide a lens hood as standard so I have had to buy one separately but the lens itself is very small and light and performs extremely well on my EM10 mark II - seems to be about the same size as the MSC standard zoom (not the pancake EZ lens which is far smaller). So far I have not detected any chromatic abberations or vignetting.
