Running long lengths of RGB LED strip light? Then look no further than the RGB Amplifier, made by Mirrorstone. Designed specifically for use with long lengths of LED tape, it can connect up to any of our RGB LED controllers and increase its range by a further 5-10m, dependant on the strip light being ran from it. Being controllable at both 12v and 24v it can be ran with any RGB strip that we sell. Simply connect your strip lights up to the controller as you normally would, but then for the amplifier, run a length of 4 core cable from the controller to the amplifier and that give you the option of running even more strip! Getting The Right Effects Despite not being directly controllable, the RGB Amplifier mimics what mode, setting or colour is set by the controller that it is connected to. All it needs get from the controller is it's signal and it can control its own length of LED strip. This means even though our controller can already do up to 288W worth of strip light, with their own power supplies you can have near unlimited lengths from one controller! Higher end controllers such as our RGB Colour Touch Controller, RGB Wi-Fi Controller and Smart Wireless Wall Plate with Remote have a up to 9 different modes and settings to choose from with one even being controllable from your Smartphone! Featuring a maximum load of 72W there is a limit that each amplifier can do and there isn't a standard length as we have a range of different powers in our RGB LED strips. The optimum length to run from one amplifier is 5m, but list below categorises how much of each strip can be done from one amplifier: 12v 7.2w/m RGB LED Strip - 10m; 12v 14.4w/m RGB LED Tape - 5m; 24v 14.4w/m RGB Strip Light - 5m. You don't have to run these exact lengths however, as we offer a bespoke cutting and soldering service meaning that you can get custom lengths of LED Strip to suit you exactly. Making Sure Your Units Are Protected Even though the ranges of LED strip have varying IP ratings, the RGB Amplifier, does not and it is solely IP20 rated. This rating means that installation where there could be water is not advisable as there is no water protection. Solid objects of 12mm or wider are however, protected against stopping any fingers or other body parts from entering the insides and causing potential harm.
