Made to fit into decking perfectly, the Recessed Aluminium profile is great for fitting our full range of 12 volt and 24 volt single colour and RGB LED strip lights helps you finish your LED strip light installations. Due to its internal width being less than 12mm, unfortunately you wouldn't be able to install the LED Pixel Tape or RGBW strips as they are wider than standard 5050 LED strips. As standard, our full range of Aluminium profiles come with all required brackets and end caps for installing them. As the Recessed variation of our profiles are designed with decking installation heavily in mind, they do not come with any fitting brackets. Due to this, it is recommended that it is installed in area where it will be resting on the floor e.g. garden lighting. Introducing SlimPro With a greatly improved design, the new SlimPro line of aluminium profiles will be able to dissipate heat at a rate not seen before. This can double your LED strip’s life expectancy by massively decreasing the heat pressures on it. This new SlimPro design also looks much more professional, with a stylish stainless steel look, and the choice between two different diffuser colours. Finishing The Job Properly Our full range of Aluminium profiles come with the option of having a diffuser. The available diffusers are either clear or frosted plastic give the strip lights more of a complete finish. They are available for £1.67 per metre. Although offering the same in terms of making the installation more robust, the effect each of them achieve is massively different from the other. The frosted diffuser helps for a better wash of light thanks to its translucency diffusing the light very effectively. This makes it the best choice for any LED strips installations where the lights will be visible, like decking. The other available diffuser, clear, is used a lot more when the strips are hidden and out of sight. They are mainly used to help protect the strip, so they are used in places such as under plinth or under cabinet lighting. That being said, the frosted diffuser can be used in all these situations to offer better diffusion of the light. Shining Brighter, For Longer Whilst used mainly for their aesthetic qualities, aluminium profiles also have a second, potentially more beneficial quality. As they are made out of Aluminium, they are superb at dissipating the heat generated by LED tapes like the ones we stock. This heat dissipation means the LED strip lights that are mounted in the profiles can experience up to 50% extra lifespan. This means that their already huge lifespan of 50,000 can be extended to 75,000 hours, very easily....
