Multi functional yet easy as pie – that’s as good a way as any to describe our IR Controller with Remote!Designed to work with our RGB colour changing LED strip lights, this Mirrorstone product comes in 2 parts – a receiver and an infrared magic lightning remote control.The receiver is a small box – measuring just 23 x 62 x 35mm – that slots in between the strip light and driver.Once this is fitted, the 24 key remote gives you control over 16 different colours, and 4 different effects – flash, strobe, fade and smooth.It runs on a 3V lithium cell battery, and requires a direct line of sight to the receiver in order to work at distances up to 10m.Depending on what voltage your LED strip lights run at, the maximum load on the controller will differ – 72W for 12V tape, and 144W for 24V tape.You could save up to 20% off this RGB control box amongst other selected items through our various discount codes. They shine at a maximum brightness of 1020 lumens, whilst consuming just 14.4W of power – that’s over 5 and a half times more efficient than an equivalent halogen!The 120o beam angle makes it great if you just want to use it for general illumination, though you could then lower the brightness using the 24 key remote and use it for mood lighting instead.It can be cut at 5cm intervals to custom lengths for you, though you should know that we cannot accept returns on any custom strip light lengths other than 5m under any circumstances.If you’re looking for a bit more functionality from your controller, you may want to consider our RF Music RGB Remote Controller.For a start, it uses radio frequency instead of infrared. This allows you to use the remote from a different room as it doesn’t require a direct line of sight.
