Check out this superb fire-rated GU10 LED downlight, and think how great it will look when it’s installed in your ceiling! This understated downlight from Mirrorstone is designed in such a way as to complement the décor of a room rather than overpower it. Its cool, white die-cast bezel has a tilting feature that will allow you to position the spotlight so its beam angle is used to optimum effect, illuminating just the area you want. It requires a 90mm hole to be cut, and relies upon two easy-to-operate butterfly clips to fasten it securely within your ceiling. It has a standard can length, ideal for installation in ceilings where there’s at least 133mm of recess space. This fitting has a relatively low IP20-rating, making it suitable for indoor use in areas requiring little or no protection against water incursion. However, we do have a wider range of GU10 LED downlights offering different specifications, should this fire rated tilt model not fit your exact requirements. We stock short can showerlights which feature a higher IP-rating as well as a truncated body, making them ideal if there’s not a great deal of recessing space. We also have many standard GU10 fittings which may be of interest to you. They’re available in tiltable and non-tiltable varieties and in regular, satin and polished chrome, brass and white finishes, so you’re sure to find one that will co-ordinate with your décor! Safety Factored-In Recessed ceiling lighting has really taken off in recent years because it’s subtle, looks great and does the job. However, it’s important to know all the facts prior to making your choice about which downlights to use. Many people still opt for the standard LED downlight, and that’s all well and good, but what if there’s a fire? When you cut holes in your ceiling to install your GU10 downlights, you compromise its integrity, all but disabling its ability to repel fire. Fire-Rated downlights redress the balance and restore your ceiling to its former fire-repellent glory, allowing the occupants of the building an extra 90 minutes of protection, and all for a very small extra investment. Variety Is The Spice Of Light! One of the great things about this tilt downlight is its compatibility with our bestselling GU10 LED bulbs. These products come in many different forms, but one thing they all have in common is that they use so much less power than traditional incandescent and luminescent bulbs. The GU10 LED COB for example requires just 9W of electricity to produce an enormous 860 Lumens of brightness. That’s almost 10 times less than that of an equivalently bright incandescent bulb, and it’s dimmable too! It comes in a choice of two colour temperatures which, when used to complement the dimming feature, will give you the ability to enhance the ambience of a room. Thus, you might choose the cool white (6000K) variety to add an air of clinical precision to functional rooms like the kitchen. In living areas that require a more relaxed and convivial atmosphere, the warm white (6000K)...
