Safety and reliability meet head on with Mirrorstone’s White GU10 Fire Rated Downlight Tilt. The GU10 base brings all the benefits and dependability of LED GU10 spotlights. It’s functional too with tilt functionality – letting you choose where you want the light to shine. The white finish gives it a modern, stylish appearance. The only thing it requires is a 75mm cutting hole, and a minimum recess depth of 133mm. Once installed, the fire rated downlight gives you a trendy yet unobtrusive look, partly due to its relatively small 85mm diameter. It’s an easy installation too thanks to an integrated terminal block connector and GU10 connection cable. No additional rewiring is required because of its 240V AC input voltage. The safety comes in here too. This tilt downlight is made from intumescent material – it expands as it gets hotter. This completely closes up any gaps in the cutting hole in the event of a fire, preventing the spread of fires from floor to floor. This protection is good to last up to 90 minutes, giving you plenty of time to evacuate your property and call emergency services. Although fire rated products generally cost more than standard LED downlights, you can shave some pounds of the price using a couple of different methods. The first is through our discount and promotional codes that we run throughout the year. You could save up to 20% off selected items, so it’s definitely worth checking out which offers are on. Introducing NeoTec The NeoTec line has been fully updated to deliver the absolute best that a downlight can be. With such a sturdy design, these fire rated materials have been streamlined to provide better fire protection, with a stylish appearance that looks great. The design has been revamped to include better heat dissipation, increasing the lifespan of your bulb. Choosing The Right Colour Temperature You’ll be able to pick what kind of bulbs you would like (if any) with your order. One of the main choices you’ll have is what kind of colour temperature you want. Colour temperature is simply a measure of the perceived warmth of the light given off by a bulb, and is measured in Kelvins. The 2 choices you’ll have are between warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K). Warm white helps create a nice and cosy environment, as it closely replicates the shade offered by traditional halogens. This makes it great for places that need to feel comfortable like the living room or bedroom. Cool white is far sharper and brighter than warm white, giving off a much icier shade. This makes it better suited to places that need to be well lit like the office, warehouse or kitchen. The other choice you’ll have is whether you want dimmable bulbs, though please do be aware that these will require a trailing edge dimmer to use. Currently existing leading edge dimmers might not work with LEDs. In a worst case scenario they could even damage the bulbs too. The Outside Options You are welcome to purchase your own bulbs separately of course. This opens up more choices for you, depending on your brightness or energy consumption requirements. We’ve got a couple of recommendations from our own range of GU10 spotlights though. The first is our Eco-Rocket GU10 6W LED Bulb - 500 Lumens "The Ariel". It’s super light on energy at just 6W of consumption, and packs a whopping 25,000 hour...
