The tilt functionality gives you some degree of freedom, as you can angle the light where you need it to be. The freedom doesn’t end there though ... Customising Your LED Downlight You can change a couple of bits on this LED downlight to really cater it for your needs. The first of these choices is what colour temperature you’d like. Colour temperature is simply a measure (in Kelvins) of the perceived warmth of any given white light. The first option is warm white (3000K) – a light that closely resembles conventional halogens and is perfect for the living room or bedroom thanks to its homely feel. The second is cool white (6000K). This is considerably brighter and more penetrative than warm white. It works much better in areas where you may need to concentrate, such as the office or the kitchen. The other customisable part of the downlight is whether you would like dimmable light or not. This lets you alter the brightness and experiment with different mood settings. In order to use dimmable LEDs though, you will require a trailing edge dimmer switch. Using a leading edge dimmer might not work and could even damage the bulbs in a worst case scenario.
