“Ordered a DAME applicator a few months ago, and wanted to try it out for a few cycles before leaving a review. Firstly, I think the concept is great. As a life-long user of disposable plastic applicators, my conscience has been assuaged by switching to a reusable applicator - it's also now almost paid for itself as I can buy the much cheaper supermarket own brand applicator-less tampons. I have two small gripes - which I leave here with the intention of being constructive and helping to improve an already good product - the first is that I find the applicator quite bulky as I generally only ever use lite and regular tampons, so find it a bit thick and would think a slimmer option would be great, the second is that, as a pockets over handbag kinda gal, I find it a little annoying having to carry around an applicator and tampon separately - where previously I would have just needed one "all in one" product. I thought one way around this would be to make the applicator "stick" (the bit you push) hollow with a screw base, so a new tampon could be stored in there - not sure this would be possible with the "slim" idea mentioned above though. Regardless, really like the product, the feel of the applicator is super smooth, easy to rinse, the colour is elegant and it's a fairly inexpensive way to switch to a more eco friendly option.
