It's release day for the new Wave Pro 3.0 and took it straight for a paddle on Llyn Padarn, Snowdonia. Coming from the Wave Tourer 2.0 I have to say this is quite the upgrade. Firstly it's a great looking board and I love the design. As usual everything you need comes pre packaged. Wasn't a fan of the slide on fin but these one's are easily removed with a button. New carbon paddle design is nice, feels a little lighter and I'm glad it's been shortened as my previous paddle didn't fit in the bag too well and I was worried it would get damaged on a flight. Nice to see the addition of a pro pump. Looks really nice quality but I haven't used it as I have an electric pump. The board itself is stiff, the glide is excellent. Very pointy nose cuts through wind and chop. An extra foot in length does mean she's a little harder to turn. Had no problem moving about this board, it's great for SUP freestyle. When you get the nose out of the water, she does step back turns effortlessly. She really wants to spin when you sink the tail. Plenty of space to stow extra equipment and will be my board of choice for a Scotland expedition this year. Couple of minor issues. Board is marketed as 20psi but the the valve is labelled as 15. I've been cautious with this and ran it at 15 and at 18 today. Noticeable flex at 15. Much more responsive at 18. I'll await word from wave to check this and run it at 20. I'd also like to remove the rear bungees for freestyling. Not removable from the eyelets unless you cut it. I may modify this myself. I would have loved to have seen some GoPro mounts on this board but I will retrofit them myself. Absolutely fantastic board and a big upgrade from my Tourer 2.0 How Wave manages to sell these packages at this price point is impressive. Absolutely no compromise on quality and performance of the board. If you're thinking of getting the Pro 3.0. Don't hesitate. It's a really good quality board and accessories.

Bought as a pressie for my niece and she absolutely loves it. New to SUP but has managed to upright on her board quickly as it's very stable. Light enough to carry and looks great. Hopefully she'll have many adventures on it.
