“It was very quiet and peaceful the fishing was good no big catches but the fishing was good lakes where well looked after. The shepherd's hut was cosy clean and well stocked with all the things you need the owners where very helpful they couldn't do a noth for you will go back thanks again”

“Fisherman’s Lodge - Stretton Sugwas Four nights of utter bliss. The lodge is set back from the lake but it overlooks a stream where I’ve been watching brown trout and roach milling about. The lodge is clean and lovely. The view from the bedroom is superb. The hot tub is great and heats up in about 2 hours if you keep the logs coming. The fishing is wonderful. Big roach. Bream, Rudd. The carp take some teasing out. I did well on natural baits like maggot, caster, worm and corn. Cage feeder with corn for really fat roach. 2g loaded waggler and maggot for bite a chuck action. I landed roach over 1lb 1/2. I even landed a golden Rudd - a first for me. I would love to come back.”

Hi Mr Howes. Thank you for your kind review. Your holiday lodge is located on Arthur's Pool, which is a dedicated specimen lake containing Carp and Mirror Carp weighing from 12lb-52lb.
