“The corner of the frame was slightly damaged and the overall look and feel was not of great quality. The back of the frame is open, and cheaply made. I have no idea how the hooks at the back work, so will have to add my own. I guess it is as described - "a wall filler". As a lover of art, I was a bit disappointed with the piece and was expecting more for the price of £100. My original plan was to have it in the guest room but it's now been relegated to the office.”
Thank you for your review, Zahidah
We are sorry for your disappointment. You failed to mention that you requested, and we obligingly made this a customised piece with a silver frame as a FOC gesture of goodwill, with no thanks! We also upgraded to express next-day delivery! Sometimes, no matter what we do, it is not enough for some.
We have not received any communication regarding any damage to a frame besides this review; if it had been delivered to you in this condition, we're sure you would have informed us upon receipt before leaving a negative review.
The back of any correctly framed traditional canvas is always open, and we make ours from sustainable wooden struts. You do not see these when the canvas is hanging on your wall.
The hangers are the correct sawtooth hangers. If there had been any confusion, a quick email to us would have confirmed this for you.
We're sorry you believe an item of this size, manufactured in the UK, securely packaged and delivered to your home for this price, is not value for money; thankfully, this opinion contradicts most of our reviews.
“Absolutely stunning, better than expected. I purchased with a custom gold frame which compliments the painting beautifully. For anyone hesitating, let this be your sign!”
