“Package is really strong. The food is of good quality. The problem I have with one of my dogs is that he likes the food for the first 2 days, and then he doesn’t want it anymore. The other 3 dogs eat it ok.”
“My 8 Yr old cocker spaniel has been a very fussy eater forever and losing our old cocker boy a few weeks ago has made her worse. When I purchased the sample pack she seemed to love the duck(she did eat the others too). I have to admit she's struggling again but we are getting there slowly. She's eating from the new bag but slowly. I'm sure it's because she's grieving so we are sticking with it. I'm wondering too that the pieces seem larger than the sample so perhaps I should get small breed next?All in all I'm happy with my purchase and will be buying again. Let down by packaging which is not/not widely recyclable, never mind compostable. This is really not good in the world in which we now live, if I could find equivalent product that was, I would change”
Hi Jill. Thanks for the review. The subject of packaging is a tricky one for us all. It is a massive up front investment to have branded packaging and we have to strike a balance between sustainability, supply, product hygiene/longevity and transportation suitability. The current paper products in the UK do not satisfy all these requirements so we opted for a 100% recyclable PE/PE product. This is something we are looking at constantly though and we have a good relationship with both our packaging suppliers that means we will be early adopters of the next big development. “My 7 year old Airedale Terrier. Merri, has been very quiet after my other Airedale was pts in May but she kept her appetite ! She developed a skin allergy and her stools were usually quite loose. A friend gave me a bag of cold pressed duck which she had won and Merri loved it. She is looking much brighter and at last we can pick up her poo easily !”
