“It needs to be cut from the bottom to accommodate the latch. This cutting art was not obvious when purchasing it. It can be better designed.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, Navneet. We believe you are referring to the small section that needs to be cut from the bottom corner of one of the doors to accommodate the bottom pivot hinge block. This cut-out is required to allow the door to pass over the hinge and fold completely back when opened. Unfortunately, we are unable to pre-cut this section on the 2-door version, as the system is reversible for either left or right-hand opening. This means the opening direction can be chosen during installation rather than needing to be specified at the time of ordering. This requirement is detailed within the assembly instructions available on the product page and downloadable installation manual, and we also supply a template to help make the process as straightforward as possible. That said, we appreciate your comments and understand why this aspect may not have met your expectations. While we have received a great deal of positive feedback on this product from both homeowners and installers, feedback such as yours is valuable and helps us identify opportunities to make important installation requirements clearer before purchase. “We had an opening 1.4 meters wide leading from our kitchen to our conservatory, which was acting like a heat sink in the Winter. Your 1.2 meter bifold doors has been an excellent solution. It did involve me putting up some stud partitioning either side of the opening to make up the different in width, but it has been worth the effort. The door kit itself is excellent and I'm glad we chose it over some others we looked at. Communication and delivery was also spot on.”
