“We ordered a door costing over £2,200. It arrived dented and scratched, with damaged packaging. Despite being well within our 30-day consumer rights window, VuFold claims they aren’t technically responsible because we didn’t note the damage on the delivery note or report it within 72 hours. They have stated that they are only considering at this point in time whether to repair or replace the door. It is disappointing that the company relies on an internal policy rather than addressing a clear fault with the product.”

We value all our customers and were pleased to see you return to us for a repeat order, which we hope reflects confidence in our products and service. That makes it even more important to us to address your concerns fairly. The photos you provided, and as stated by you, show significant impact damage to the outer packaging, which would have been visible at the time of delivery. Our delivery and damage reporting policy—highlighted during ordering and in pre-dispatch emails—asks customers to check goods on arrival and report any damage within 72 hours. This is standard practice across the industry and helps us investigate promptly with our delivery partners. In this case, the order was signed for by your builder and then stored for over three weeks before damage was reported. Unfortunately, this extended timeframe means we cannot confirm when or where the damage occurred. While we understand your frustration and have tried to show empathy during our telephone conversations, we do feel it’s important to note that becoming irate and using offensive language towards our team members is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Our staff are here to help and deserve to be treated respectfully. We were also aware that you indicated you would leave negative reviews before the call ended, which we regret. We also want to apologise that we were unable to agree to the demands and expectations you expressed, as they were outside what is reasonable. “Purchased an aluminium front door with sidelight. Doors were damaged through poor handling and seemingly protection. Although Options to remediate have been provided, ive been told products need to be collected for assessment with no SLA on when I'll be getting my replacement. This has pushed back installation significantly and has impacted parts of my renovation.”

“Very pleased with Vu Fold team, the delivery was on time, the door was well packaged and protected. My only criticism was that when I asked for some help to find what was in each box, I was promised an email from customer services, which never happened. However everything, when eventually our joiner came to fit the door, upon unpacking, we found the remaining parts. Apart from that, well happy.”
