“What areas did you like about our website? I remember liking the detailed bits of information about each project location. How did you find the pre departure booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare? Very Helpful ! Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? Yes I spent most of my time at the Maltiti School for girls in Tamale. I taught classes in the morning and afternoon. I loved the girls but found the afternoon time more challenging because it was less structured. Accommodation and meals Loved my host family. Mariama Dadson and family were incredible. The house was very nice.I liked the food but also didn&#39 t get too adventurous with the local dishes. What was the highlight of your volunteering experience and your trip? Working with the girls at Maltiti especially the relationships that I established with the girls in my morning class. But I also loved spending time with my host family. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES!”

“What areas did you like about our website? The layout of the website was easy to understand and so was the personal login page. How did you find the pre departure booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare? The coordinator as well as the other staff were very helpful in answering my questions. Rest of all my questions were answered in the Pre departure Information guide. Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? It was an all round great learning and fun filled experience. From start to end I am very satisfied with it. Accommodation and meals There was a great atmosphere in my hosts house. The food was very tasty. What was the highlight of your volunteering experience and your trip? The actual work of a teacher was a very rewarding experience. It lead me to bond with the local students while at the same time understanding a new culture was my highlight. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES!”

“What areas did you like about our website? It was very easy to navigate. Once we gained access to our accounts there was organization in the process and I was able to keep track of what I needed for the program. How did you find the pre departure booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare? The Pre Departure Booklet was very informative and the staff was prompt and helpful. Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? Yes. The staff members at the clinic were very happy to teach us different things. Accommodation and meals The host family was kind. They made sure we had food taught us some things in the kitchen and made us feel welcome in their home. What was the highlight of your volunteering experience and your trip? Meeting new people and traveling to different sites I read about. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES!”

“What areas did you like about our website? The overall navigation is very good. Easy to get to the programs and destinations. How did you find the pre departure booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare? The booklet contained very useful information. The staff was very good in answering all our questions and trying to give us the best information possible. Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? I absolutely loved my placement. People were so friendly and willing to teach you about anything you wanted to know. Accommodation and meals Our home stay was good. People were nice taking time to teach us how to cook and teaching us about traditions etc. The food was great. What was the highlight of your volunteering experience and your trip? Meeting all the wonderful people in Ghana each showing me a different side of the country and allowing me to be a part of it. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no Yes!”

“What areas did you like about our website? Good the communication was great. All my questions were answered in a timely manner. Arrival and Airport Pickup Good it was exactly as explained in an email before departure. Project Placement Amazing. This was definitely an experience of a lifetime. The village was very welcoming and helpful. Words cannot describe my experience. Upon arriving a ceremony was held in my honor and at this time they made me a member of the community. Everyone was also willing and excited to show me their way of life. The first week I was there every night some one in the village would come and get me from school or my house to either take me somewhere or show me something in the village. After the first few days I really felt like a member of the community as if I had lived there my whole life. The children at the school were so open to me I was able to teach them a few games songs and dances and they loved it. I started out teaching their kindergarten class but because of language barriers I finished my time teaching in P6. The students were willing to learn and were only at school because they wanted to be it was not required that they attend school. I definitely believe that I learned more from them then they did from me.&quot Accommodation and meals Again everyone was very welcoming. My host family was a big help as I adjusted to life in Ghana. They answered any questions I had helped me learn the language and made sure I had everything I needed. The meals were well prepared and delicious. Coordinator Very good. He kept in contact with me and made sure I could contact him at anytime needed. When he brought me to the village he made sure I felt at home and safe. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES It was a great experience and definitely an experience of a lifetime.”

“What areas did you like about our website? Every details were really clear about program like how it is. How did you find the pre departure booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare? Mr. Sahil always answered to my email within 24 hours. He guides me really well. The booklet was useful. I read it a lot to do my suitcase. Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? Yes I enjoyed working with orphans. I loved taking care of the children and it was a pleasure to help them every day. Accommodation and meals Being in a host family was a great experience of sharing and learning about the culture. The house was fine: - water electricity a nice family. What was the highlight of your volunteering experience and your trip? Ghanaian people are amazing! I enjoyed everyday of my trip. Ghanaians share everything about their culture very easily. I grew a lot with this experience. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no Yes.”

“Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? Jeannie: - Yes the people were delightful and I learned a lot out of this program. Kelly: - Yes it was very valuable. The girls were great and it taught me a lot about myself. Colleen: - Yes I found teaching to be very rewarding. Teaching taught me about the culture but about myself. Ryan: - Yes I enjoyed teaching and helping the masses. Accommodation and meals Jeannie: - Bucket showers are fabulous. Meals were delicious variety is the key. Kelly: - The house was great. The meals were delicious. Colleen: - Everyone was very accommodating with everything that we could need. Ryan: - The food cooked by the girls was great and the house was very nice. I was very impressed with the great house. What was the highlight of your volunteering experience and your trip? Jeannie: - Observing the women their daily tasks as well as working with them. Kelly: - Seeing the girls understand what I was teaching them. I taught tough materials and most of them could keep up. Colleen: - When the kids finally understand a concept its a wonderful feeling. Ryan: - There were too many great moments at the school. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no Jeannie: - Yes. Kelly: - Yes it helps people to learn about themselves. Colleen: - Yes. Ryan: - Yes this is a life changing trip that everyone should take in their lives. Any comments and suggestions Jeannie: - Frederick you are the Godfather and are very accommodating to volunteers. Kelly: - We will miss you guys! :) Colleen: - Valuable trip. Ryan: - You are all doing a great job setting us up. I would say that I should have spent more time teaching.”

“What areas did you like about our website? Easy to use and informative. How did you find the pre departure booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare? Very Helpful. Info regarding Ghana was very helpful. Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? Yes. The staff at Zingwangwa Primary School was wonderful. They are so friendly and accommodating and nothing was ever a problem. For some people the class size can be a bit daunting. Accommodation and meals Perfect ! Wonderful host mother and family. Would recommend anyone to stay here. We have no complaints whatsoever. Very good location. Right next to the school in which we worked. What was the highlight of your volunteering experience and your trip? Living with a host family ensures a true authentic Ghanaian experience. Also the independence that we had. Nobody from the organization was chasing us and making rules. The energy of the children we taught was infectious and I wont ever forget it. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES! Any comments and suggestions Just make the potential volunteers aware of the size of classes and age group of children in the class.”
