The birds like it and it doesn't grow. What's not to like?

What can I say? The birds seem delighted with it. Delivery and ordering were quick and hassle free. Vine House Farm seem very good to deal with. I ordered it on the recommendation of ornithologist friends who are long standing customers.

Fast delivery and a great mix. The birds love it and it doesn't leave a mess as they clean it up completely. No odd seeds sprouting anywhere, or husks mouldering under the feeders.

I have been using Won't Grow Mix for several years. The birds love it and any that falls from feeders to the ground is quickly eaten. If any seed is left on the ground it doesn't grow so is perfect from my point of view.

The birds love this mix. It's very good quality. No bran in it so when it rains the feeders don't clog up. It does cost more than other places, but you get more for your money. There's far less waste too. So overall I am getting much better value for money by spending a bit more with Vine House. I am onto my second delivery from them now. They deliver really quickly once your order is placed too. I buy Won't Grow Mix and sunflower hearts from Vine House. These attract a wide range of birds to our garden. In fact the garden is alive with them. It's good to see Greenfinches and Chaffinches back. When it's really cold we get linnets, redpols and sometimes Bramblings. Currently we have some very possessive blackcaps that chase away other birds trying to feed even when they themselves don't want to feed. We have a very polite squirrel who comes in for its breakfast on the feeder right by the house. It doesn't destroy the feeders or drop them. It just eats what it wants and leaves. It even came up to the bedroom window while I was doing the Great Garden bird watch at the weekend to say thankyou. He was sitting just the other side of the window looking right at me bold as brass. I know they are pests but even so.. can't help liking my fluffy tree rat. I used to buy my food from other suppliers (GWDirect) however they have started adding bran to their mixes probably to avoid raising their prices. I found partially ground pellets of bran in the mixes I last got from them. Very dusty. Birds don't eat bran. Result - when it rains, the bird feeders clog wasting food and resulting in hungry birds. Would you put wheatabix in your birdfeeders?
