There are so many ways of feeding these suet treats - from a mesh peanut feeder (with or without peanuts), mixed with seed or simply on their own from a bird table or the ground. They are a favourite of Blackbirds, Robins, Song Thrushes and Starlings.

For a time I have been buying cheap suet pellets. Mistake. These, though slightly more expensive are much better quality. I do not get as much mess and the birds are happy with them too!

The pellets are a huge favorite with the garden birds and disappear in no time. My only complaint is that the packing inside the box makes decanting them into a more sturdy bag a bit of a messy affair as pellets tend to go everywhere.

Excellent product, the starlings love them. Now the weather is changing the flock arrives waiting for me to put food out, and are down to feed very often before I'm back in the house.

Sad to see that Vinehouse has succumbed to shrinkflation on sunflower seeds - moved from a 25kg bag to a 20kg bag. The birds eat the same amount no matter how much the bag is shrunk. The birds love mealworm pellets - although I see that the packaging refers to mealworm-flavoured, whereas I thought that they were supposed to contain mealworms. The packaging is poor, although an improvement on the previous plastic bag. What's wrong with a paper sack?

Hello Michael Thankyou for your feedback. We have changed the packaging and some of the weights. We no longer do 25kg sacks this has dropped to 20kg. We found a lot of people were struggling with the 25kg sacks as well as the couriers and were getting a lot of damaged deliveries. Our 3kg and 6kg are now in paper sacks and the 13kg and 20 kg bags are PP5 with 30% recycled content so are fully recyclable. Paper sacks for 13kg and 20kg would not be strong enough to make the journey to the customer, we have investigated this. Our mealworm suet pellets contain a high percentage of fat Plus actual mealworm powder and peanut Flour not just a flavour. Kindest Regards Vine House Farm

No complaints about the pellets, the birds are happy with them. Delivery arrived very promptly after the order. I was a bit surprised by the packaging - just wrapped in paper and put in a shipping box. This made it difficult (and messy) to decant. Had expected some kind of bag or sack to be used. Overall pleased and will happily order again, I've been buying from the shop for a while and this was the first mail order. I know all the bird food is of a high quality.
