“They are obviously delicious as many birds can’t wait to eat them, blue tits, great tits, coal tits and long tailed tits , black caps safe inside a cage. Also others try to collect any that fall, robins, blackbirds, dunnocks and pigeons. Lately a great spotted woodpecker has arrived and can just about reach in. At this time of year parents bring the family to feed, a lovely sight.

“Thought these might be a good alternative to peanuts which have a tendency to go mouldy. Disappointed though as birds haven’t shown a great deal of interest for them.
