Our Dried Mealworms are a great source of protein and have been a real hit since we first introduced them. Dried mealworms have a similar level of fat and protein as the live equivalent.
What birds enjoy eating Dried Mealworms?
Dried mealworms will be eaten by most soft bill species and in particular Robins, Starlings and Blackbirds. House Sparrows will also eat them.
How do I feed Dried Mealworms to birds?
Dried Mealworms can be fed on their own, in a mealworm feeder or can be added to seed mixes. It’s very important that Dried Mealworms are soaked in water prior to feeding in the breeding season, as it is also the moisture that the young nestlings require.
How should I store dried mealworms?
They should be stored in a dry cool place.

I find these dried mealworms are accepted by the garden birds very well, as long as you soak them in warm water for about 30 mins first.

From what I can tell from the behaviour of my bird friends - there should be more of them!

The dried mealworms are loved and quickly devoured by all the garden birds, particularly the robins. I soak them first in a small amount of water to make them easier to eat or add them to the mixed seeds for a tasty treat.

Quality product! Well-grown meal worms, well-dried, well-packed - and extremely popular with our garden birds - especially the Robins and Blackbirds, which are currently breeding nearby.

250g pack plastic bag is resealable which is useful. I soak in water before putting in dish for birds .. blue tits and house sparrows soon eat them up!
