Filled with a suet-based fat mix which also includes seeds, Coconut Halves were the first product of this type to come onto the market many years ago, and well ahead of fat balls, blocks and pellets. In some ways, the early arrival of the Coconut Half product onto the market was ahead of its time, as its obvious use of a waste product – so the shell of a coconut – would now be seen as a very environmentally-friendly solution.

The birds most likely to feed on the calorie-rich suet-based fat mix are blue tits, great tits, long-tailed tits, coal tits, nuthatches (if you’re lucky enough to have them in your area), starlings and great-spotted-woodpecker.

Our Coconut Halves come complete with a string already attached to them, so can be easily hung from a branch or from a bird feeder station.

I can’t speak personally but the birds like them!

Much welcomed as an additional attraction on our apple tree and on the ground from starling mopping up.

Excellent product, well packaged and delivered quickly. These are easy to hang in one of the trees and have already attracted back some great tits which I have not seen for some time. Looking forward to seeing some more suet loving species .

Excellent product. Birds demolish contents very quickly. Empty coconut shell can be easily smashed and used for paths or even refilled with fat and seeds.

Good product . Would be even better if the hanging loops weren’t so small, makes hanging awkward.

My bluebirds love them, and visiting robins have also learned to 'hang on' ... as seed has temporarily dried-up from local garden center

Took a few days for birds to catch on. Now regularly visited. Squirrels like em too. Good value, convenient hanging loop. Non plastic hurrah!
