Sunflower Hearts Reviews

Sunflower Hearts are a nutritious seed and can be found in a number of our mixes. Being a great energy and protein source, Sunflower Hearts are ideal for all seasons and stages of life.
With the husk removed, birds can enjoy the whole seed without wasting energy on cracking them open to feed, which is especially important during the energy-conservative winter months.
Although Sunflower Hearts are more expensive to buy than Sunflower Seeds, you are not wasting money on husks that will not be eaten.
If you are concerned about larger birds and squirrels eating large quantities of sunflower hearts then ensure you choose the right bird feeder. We have Squirrel-resistant feeders and baffles in stock along with a full range of bird feeders and stations.

Excellent service as usual from Vine house. The Sunflower hearts do attract a great crowd of small birds. The only problem is needing to refill the feeders so often! We have had Bullfinches, redpolls, linnets and up to 11 siskins competing for space plus the usual tits. Any spilt seed is cleared up by chaffinches and a variety of pigeons and jackdaws and also house sparrows plus dunnocks. This year we saw a tree sparrow too, a first for our garden.

Sunflower hearts are caviar to birds, particularly to "my' resident families of goldfinch who, alas, are very untidy eaters which necessitates frequent feeder cleaning

Excellent service and speedy delivery as always. Sunflower hearts are a firm favourite with the sparrows and these should keep them going a while.
