“This feeder seems to keep the birds happy - doesn't quite fool the local squirrel, but I now put any suet ball leftovers onto tray and that keeps him and his wife happy.”
“This is the first time I have submitted a review as it is the first disappointing product from Vinehouse.
As the feeder does not have any perches, I expected the birds to be able to readily grip onto the holes cut in the sides. I was concerned to find that the edges are very sharp, not suitable for this purpose. My concern has been proven correct as the feeder is barely used and still contains the five suet balls that were initially placed in it. Other much cheaper feeders are working well.
All the other supplies from Vinehouse have been excellent but I'm afraid I consider this one to have been a mistake.”
“I think the metal edges of this feeder are too sharp. I cut my finger on the top edge trying to clean it. I also noticed that the birds seemed reluctant to land on it, just fluttering around in front of it. Maybe they found it too sharp as well. I have now gone back to using my other, smaller, feeder.”
