“All the small garden birds seem to love it - I see sparrows, goldfinches, blue tits, great tits and coal tits at the feeder, all those plus robins eat it from the bird table, and blackbirds, starlings, and pigeons hoover up what falls on the ground. The goldfinches choose it in preference to niger, the bluetits prefer it to peanuts. The only problem is they eat so much of it that I have to keep refilling the feeders.”
