“I use this in my 4 footer feeder - 12 ports. The birds (especially great tits) just throw out a lot of the seeds until they get to what they want, but it's hard to tell what they're throwing out and what they like. I'm not sure if it's as a consequence of the large amount of seed accumulating on the ground, but we now have rats regularly visiting the area under the feeder. Even if I use the tray under the feeder, it get thrown beyond it's area. I am experimenting with just using alternate layers of seed - sunflower, blacksunflower to see if they stop throwing stuff out.”
