“This is a very well designed product and I will be buying another one. The feeder does deter squirrels however, if your feeding stands are near a pebble-dashed wall this gives squirrels enough hold to extract the food. I cannot place my stands anywhere else owing to a large nearby cat population and this is the fairly safest area for my bird feeding station. The squirrels are not able to damage the feeder so this is a win for me.”

“For a device with moving parts exposed to the elements 24/7, this is remarkably effective and durable. I bought this to replace one I had used continuously for 12 or 14 years. This newer version has adjustable tension allowing you to exclude creatures above a certain weight. A bit pricy but it will save you a fortune feeding wildlife you don't want to steal it.”

“I have just been watching a squirrel eating the seeds on the ground beneath the feeder and making no attempt to access it. The feeder is good quality, easy to fill and I wish I had bought it years ago.”

“The Squirrel Buster feeders are excellent. I have both a nut feeder and now a seed feeder and both do exactly what they say they will - keep squirrels from accessing the birds' food. I tried so many other feeders that made similar claims but the clever squirrels were able to get through, over or round them after a while. The Squirrel Buster feeders succeed because of the scientific approach to the problem, which truly works. Great products!”

“We bought this to prevent both squirrels and large birds such as magpies from stealing seeds. However the magpies have realised that they can just fly up and knock the feeder to make the seeds fall out. (The seeds drop out very easily because the 'trough' at the bottom is quite big.) As a result I don't believe the Squirrel Buster is any more effective than the type of feeder that has a cage around it but perhaps our magpies are very intelligent!”

The Squirrel Buster Feeders are designed to close the feeding ports if a squirrel (or large bird) puts their weight on a port. Unfortunately, It won't stop crafty magpies, but you could try hanging the feeder in amongst the foliage of trees or bushes where the magpies may struggle to access it.
