“A very well made three sectional steel pole purchased to support a 'Yankee' bird feeder. One section includes the spike ensuring easy application any where in the garden.”
“The pole is basically good and strongly made.
However, it never occurred to me that the diameter would be different to those fittings I already had (different manufacturer) The squirrel baffle therefore does not fit. Clearly a good pole, but in my case did not do as required. I shall find an alternative use for it!”
“Arrived the day after ordering. Seems a sturdy pole but only time will tell how resistant to corrosion it is. I found that my perspex domed baffle only just fits onto the top of the pole, will not slide further down the pole but it's OK. The part which screws into the bottom of the feed to be mounted is plastic, and I wonder how durable it will be over time, maybe a metal one would be more durable. Overall I'm pleased, so far it has defied the squirrels.”
“Bought this along with Droll Yankee feeder to replace the pole and feeder destroyed by Storm Franklin. Pole was too thick to fit the base supports I ordered with the previous pole. Also top hanging bracket for feeders wouldn't fit as too thick. It appears to only be made for screwing in the Droll Yankee feeder in the top but the whole thing was too unstable. Also very short so ended up jerry-rigging an old curtain pole slid down inside which I could attach the feeder hanger to. Still thing it will need a bottom support to anchor it though.”
“A good sturdy pole. The thread will connect to most makes of feeder.
This is not a sales pitch but I added the pigeon spacer and rain guard.
And the seed does stay dry and isn’t gobbled up by the pigeons.”
“Seems to be a good strong pole and has stayed up in some of the strong winds we have had in recent weeks. Only had for a short time but so far so good.”
