I am sorry ,but you bought a peanut feeder which is not suitable for seed as the holes are too big.
You need a feeder that is suited for seed.

On placing the order I was telephoned and told that one of the sizes ordered was in short supply (poor inventory records?) but the representative suggested an alternative size (fewweer longer hanger wires) which has worked just fine for me. The experience was particularly timely since the previous week I had a parallel experience with a competitor ffrom Shropshire. (Is accurate inventory recording a particular challenge with the different lengths of these "feeder hanger" wires?) The Shropshire company did not suggest alternative sizes when they phoned me So I sugggesteed it. They insisted without further elaboration that it "would not be possible". The contrast with Vine House Farm was total. Vine House Farm is a business that understands customer service. Customers understand customer service too. Vine House Farm get my vote. (And, from now on, my custom!) I wish you every succcess. (No doubt the birds would too, but I didn't get to ask them yet.)”
