“First time up, a Jackdaw tried to land on it, but knocked it onto flagstones below, breaking the brittle plastic lid . Not able to superglue back together, but have managed to bend up the ends of the wire handle to allow the rest of it to hang up, with no lid. Suggest a less brittle plastic for the lid in future production runs!”
“Seems strong and easy to clean and opens at the top only, but unfortunately my garden birds don’t yet like to use it. I used to have one with a plastic base, but magpies and parakeets could pull off the bottom and empty the suet balls! I suspect that the base made it easier to cling on and feed from.”
