“Decent price, especially when bought in larger quantities - which is OK as Vine House products do go down well with the birds. Cheaper seeds from supermarkets etc can sit there for quite a time uneaten, sometimes to be thrown away in the end. Environmentally sounder than mass market products too.”
“Just ordered another bag of black sunflower seeds from Vine farm. Excellent price good quality seed, and most of all the birds love it. Very quick delivery which is also free. They also give a donation to the RSPB which is good.”
“Unfortunately none of our usual visiting birds will eat the black sunflower seeds - but the squirrels absoluteley love them. We have had to buy our usual sunflower hearts to bring the birds back into the garden.”
Hello
Thank you for your feedback.
Although sunflower seeds are a popular choice with birds, black sunflower seeds are not suitable for species such as Robin, Blackbird, Song Thrush and Blue Tits since they can't remove the husk.. For these species it’s best to provide sunflower hearts, which are the same product but with the husk removed.
Regards
