“This comes in a beautiful bottle of heavy brown glass. You are told to warm the oil in your hands and then massage the oil into your body and describes different massage strokes which will aid lymph drainage. The oil has a slightly odd smell. The spearmint is the dominant smell for me with something a bit musky behind it. I am slightly daunted by the idea that you are expected to spend 5 to 15 minutes massaging the oil in but I guess if it makes a difference to my body then it will be worth it and I am excited to give it a go. It also implies that you should use the oil 20 minutes before showering or before bedtime. I found that it absorbed right into my skin on first use so I will try to use it before bed as I don’t feel the need to shower it off. The smell does linger after use so I will see if I get to like it a bit more.
This a light oil which absorbs quickly into the skin although leaving enough on the surface to allow you to perform the suggested massage. The scent is predominately spearmint which is quite uplifting when using it around the upper arms and shoulders. I did get to like the scent.
So the positive is that it became a bit of a ritual for me to massage the oil into my limbs on an almost daily basis. I followed the advice of using long sweeping movements over my limbs but also to use small circular massage movements over the joints. I did like spending the extra time when I could particularly using it around my shoulders upper arms and décolletage where the smell was quite uplifting. It did require a bit more commitment that the normal application of a body moisturiser but did encourage me to spend some time easing out the tension around my shoulders.
The product and the ritual of applying it grew on me as did the fragrance. My husband also loved me using it to rub his neck and shoulders.
Where I used the product - mostly legs arms shoulders my skin was well moisturised. It did claim to be purifying so to test that I used it on my upper arms that suffer from some redness but there was no improvement in that area. Over the month I used most of the bottle and I didn't manage to use it every day due to the time taken to apply it - so it would be quite expensive as a daily body moisturiser.
The promise was that it could be used with the ritual of self-massage and it was a good massage oil and create feelings of well-being. Also the aromas are claimed to be uplifting and mind clearing - and I do agree that the smell as you massage is very pleasing and energising. The product was lovely to use and the ritual of self-massage and the uplifting scent was well worth the extra time taken to apply it.”
“I like the look of this. It all looks understated and good quality. Nice contrast between the shiny chrome and the muted green and brown of the bottle and label. Feels heavy and nice quality. All promising. I am looking forward to trying it. Pump delivers in small amounts which is preferable to too much all at once.
The oil smells divine. Fresh and minty with mellow floral notes and something I don't recognise. Really pleasurable experience using it. It doesn't smell "oily" which some heavier body oils do. It is very shiny on the surface of the skin but does seem to soak in during the massage 15 minutes. Very nice to use and adorable smell.
My skin likes this oil. Perfume lingers on the skin. No problem with oil marks on clothes particularly. Skin is in better condition and noticeably softer. Fragrance and the ritual of taking time to do the whole body from extremities towards the heart all helped me to de-stress.
Every time I smelled the lovely aroma I felt myself relaxing. It is a really pleasurable experience to use it
I now have the routine of stopping and taking time to have a massage with the lovely fragrance and the soothing oil. Skin condition is definitely better. Healthy and glowing. And I feel better for the relaxation, too.
The oil is nice on the skin and has helped maintain the generally good condition of my skin but the exceptional effect of the oil is in how it affected my holistic sense of well-being which is amazing! I don't know if I was actually de-toxified but I feel great. Oh by the way I love the way the packaging looks and feels. I think the oil fulfils what it says on the packaging and the website.
There is nothing to improve.
I would be happy to pay the £30-35 price. It is such a lovely oil to use and has such a pleasurable effect that it is worth the money. Glad to see it full of lots of natural ingredients. Website has clearly presented information and clear instructions on how to use it to best effect. Love that it is Vegan guaranteed. I have to say I have never had such an overpowering reaction to a body oil. So impressive.”
“What a heavy product and packaging. Solid and dependable. I really hoped that it was going to live up to the very high expectations of the bottle’s contents matching its container. Quite a distinctive fragrance which matches well with the promises of uplifting and purifying.
A clear liquid dispensed from the pump that gave no immediate clues to its fragrance or texture and then the most glorious symphony of smell envelopes your senses. Gentle herbs mixed with vibrant but not overpowering mint. It’s fresh and is encased within a very light oil that melts into your skin with a few light strokes.
This body oil quickly became a much anticipated and desired part of my routine. I used it initially 2 or 3 times a week and i have really found the whole experience of using it as uplifting and invigorating. For me it is best used first thing in the morning and it sets me up for the day. The scent gently encases my skin and seems to release a burst of freshness and motivation when needed. Just taking a few moments to inhale the scent even a few hours after applying was enough to lift my spirits.
The instructions suggested that the oil could also be applied as part of a sleep routine. I tried this however found that this particular aspect didn't work quite so well for me. My senses took it as invigorating rather than restful.
Not only was this body oil super smelling it did leave my skin feeling soft supple and very nourished. I particularly liked that the oil wasn't at all greasy but glided on to my skin and absorbed perfectly and quickly. It left a lovely sheen to my skin which looked radiant whilst feeling so smooth and smelling wonderful.
I have had plenty of comments that I smell nice. Some had thought that perhaps I was wearing a perfume, others thought I had changed deodorants. Either way none found the scent to be overpowering or out of character for the type of product. My skin seems to glow with health and vitality after using the oil and each time I use it I'm still getting the same good feeling. I'm still detecting the wonderful scent so my nose hasn't become "nose blind" and my skin is looking and feeling almost summer ready.
I really enjoyed the massage element of this oil it involves the senses completely and really lifted mood and spirit. It has the added benefit of being a good body oil which did leave my skin feeling soft supple and with a healthy glow/ Sheen. It was gentle on my skin and kind to it but I did feel that the major benefit was more centered around mindfulness rather than how my skin improved as a result of using the oil.
I very much loved the product and wondered if it actually deserved a place in a wellness category as for me that was where it would excel.
I enjoyed the purity of the fragrance, it reminds me of cool clear mountain air. Cost wise I would say that the product is priced higher than I would pay for a body oil although having said that, I would buy it because it delivers more than a standard body oil. I have enjoyed the feeling of spa massages at home which have no doubt lifted my mood, senses and wellbeing. It feels that it is priced at a point that you could enjoy the benefits of a salon massage in the DIY format.”
