“Bought this and much as love the design and the quality of the leather, I’m going to have you return it. The elbow armour fits inside a pocket in the lining. However, the lining is not attached in any way to the leather and so the armour moves around all over the place. As soon as my elbow puts any pressure on it (eg bending my arms) the armour gets pushed to the side. I seriously doubt this will protect my joint in a crash, which really is the whole point of the jacket. Seems a weird design oversight for such a premium item.”

“...for the main part. This is a well made and well thought through motorcycle jacket. I like the fit and finish of this thing, the quality of the leather and the little details, like the sturdy zips that are easy to grip with your gloves on. All four of the outer pockets can be closed one handed because you have to pull down to close them. If youve ever tried to close a zip one handed whilst riding by pulling up knows what Im talking about. I really like the pocket on the right arm, it comes in handy for keeping a bit of cash or a credit card nearby. This has been my go-to jacket for the last 13 months, it even looks cool in a car! :-) I equipped the jacket with D30 protectors (item 8002 & 8004) on the elbows and shoulders and the RSD protector in the back. This is the only part where I have to say that style got in the way of substance. Due to the styling of the back of the jacket you cant put in a larger protector than RSDs 0800-D9H0-0003. The D3Os fit their respective pockets very well as does RSDs back armour. The satin liner looks the part too but does clash with velcro (pun intended). Look out if you use gloves with velcro, they will stick to the liner. Do this repeatedly and you will ruin the satin! Unfortunately I had the chance to crash test the Clash. I slipped on gravel on a single track road in the Scottish highlands and hit the deck at some 35mph. No seam, inner or outer, was ripped. The jacket held together and the protectors did their intended work. I fixed the scratches on the right shoulder and the back of the jacket with black shoe wax. When light hits it at certain angles, one can still see the scratches but a few battle scars give this thing even more credibility as the true leather motorcycle jacket it is!”
