“Superb face mask, very comfortable and super stylish. Keeps neck and face warm with open face helmet and can’t feel the straps once helmet on. Only issue is you can’t really pull it down without having to take off helmet to put back on properly so garage petrol stops can be a pain if they need to see your face.not exactly a problem though. Love the material and worn looser no issues with breathing. Wire inner moulds round nose and stops the pollution with the built in filter. Sizing spot on.”

“Id had my eye on one of these masks for a while. When I used to live in SE Asia, wearing a mask while riding was the norm. The pollution is not as bad in the UK, but it can be noticeable at times in London. I wanted something that looks good and wasnt designed to be thrown away. Enter Rare Bird. These masks are very thoughtfully designed and I can honestly say Ive never seen a mask I like as much as these. The materials chosen are great, particularly as fibres such as wool and linen are not particularly hospitable to bacteria and should stay fresh longer between washes than if they were made with cotton. Despite going into summer, I opted to get the winter mask. Im not usually the sort to complain about being hot but if summer riding has you thinking about mesh jackets and single layer jeans, you might be best opting for a linen mask. The fit is good though Id definitely agree with the advice to size down a little. The measurement from the bridge of my nose to my chin was around 13.5cm and a medium fits great. One thing Id seriously recommend considering is the helmet type you intend to wear this with. Almost every image from Rare Bird shows these masks being worn with open face helmets. I have two full face helmets and they do present a little bit of a challenge. My AGV X3000 fits very snugly, no room for coms, taking it off hurts my ears a little, can kiss the chin bar at all times kind of snugly. I really like the helmet, but I cannot with any consistency get the helmet on over the mask while keeping it in place. The closeness of the chin bar means that it will always hit the actual mask where it sits on my nose (it wouldnt normally catch my nose) and pull it down. The entrance to the helmet will also catch the masks head strap unless I choose to run the strap below my ears, which would probably work as the cheek pads would still hold the sides of the mask in place, but the aforementioned issue of the chin bar, still makes this a no go.��My HJC FG-ST on the other hand, fits me well, but is easier to get on and off and has what Id call a more "normal" chin bar. It causes minimal issues when putting it on over the mask and is very comfortable to wear over the top of it. Sometimes I might have to make a small adjustment to the fit of the mask through the eyeport but its no big issue. In summary, its a great quality mask that feels like it will last a good while and looks fantastic too, just give some though to the lid youll be wearing with it.”

“Excellent quality and stitching. The strap keeps the face mask in place while stopping for coffee etc which is great. Means you don't need an extra COVID mask for petrol stops and looks great. The neck fastening keeps out any wind and prevents heat loss.”

“Well made, if pricy, addition to your wardrobe. Looks great with a nice Hedon helmet, does cause goggles to steam up but keeps elements out. Would buy again.”
