“Bought for the summer as an alternative to my hoody which is rather weighty and has no pockets. The Merlin Brody riding shirt does have lots of pockets so that’s good but it is as weighty as the hoody. I guess it needs to offer a sensible amount of protection so therefore cannot avoid the weight. Other than the weight it is a very nice jacket (sorry, shirt) that’s made of cotton, a big selling point for me. It fits very well and the armour is very slim. I do believe I shall get plenty of use from it for many years to come. Buy it if you prefer natural materials and a dressed down, casual look.”
