I bought this shirt for summer riding; I was attracted to the style, the protection, and the venting. The shirt IS great - it looks great, and it feels heavy and well protected. I guess that's the obvious trade-off - it's hard to have good protection and be cool in hot weather. This tries to achieve that through the venting, but they appear to be as much use as a chocolate fireguard - probably as the shirt is lined (so the vent only opens to the lining), and the 'escape' vent at the back is blocked off by the back armour. Riding back home this summer I was having to open some of the buttons at the front, which isn't ideal. I found that I could get a bit of air circulation on my back by trying to sit up straight but it doesn't last. So, does it look great - yes. Does it feel protected - yes. Is it good for hot weather - probably not.

Love the shirt. You will not be disappointed if this is the style you are after. However, the colour isn't as bright red as shown in the pictures, it's more of a faded off red. Fits true to size and quality is very nice

Great quality, super heavy weight for a riding shirt. Looks the part. Super happy with the hole process.

Looks like a shirt but it's a great jacket. Back protection could have been included considering the price

Excellent quality and true to size . I have previously purchased John Doe riding gear and again I am not disappointed and I trust that urban rider only sell top of the range goods.

A great looking casual shirt jacket which is fun to wear and also gives the protection you need .

I've been looking for a riding shirt for a long time and being 6'5" with long da made it difficult to find something that was more "reasonably priced". So I decided to bite the bullet t and spend my pennies. I couldn't be happier: quality garment, great fit (thanks to the urban rider size guide) and looks awesome!
