“Great quality leather and fit with decent armour”

“Bought in the White/Red//Black 12th March 2025. I bought this jacket because I wanted something that looks like it could be a high street style jacket, but has the features and safety of a riding jacket. It meets that expectation. My first impression is the leather is of great quality. Soft but thick and strong. The weight of the jacket is reassuring. The back protector is thicker than some I've paid for as extras on other jackets. It's clearly not designed to be breathable, but great for us northern europeans who frequently ride in the sub 10s & 20s with the sun shining. On to sizing. I chose L, as a 100 KG 6 foot 2 chap, and I'm happy. I'm also much broader chested than recommended by the sizing, 46 inches. I go to the gym a bit, however its just out of winter so I'm a bit softer round the middle too! I wouldn't want this any tighter. And it's not right at all with the jerkin on. But two things will happen. Firstly as summer comes we all tend to lean out a bit, and by the time its winter this jacket with have stretched, leaving me space for the jerkin (or more likely my own choice of under layer). In my experience all leather products slowly loose their fit over a season or so of riding. I buy something to be nice and neatly fitted for summer, then I get a winter out of it. Next year it may well have stretched to winter only size. Such is life. We asks a hard life of these products. I will say that the expanding/elastic side panels are genius for this. They look well integrated, add some lines to the product, and hopefully help it keep its shape. Finally, I'm looking forward to riding in a few colder days in this as I know it will keep we warm. Come hotter days if its not too hot, I'll simply unzip the chest a bit. And if it is too hot... well how many days is that a year?”

“Looks great. Feels a little heavy, but on the good side it makes you also feel safer. It has quite a few pockets which makes it handy. I really wouldn't mind if the white leather parts were a little less brushed. Overall it looks pretty dope! Am super happy.”

“The jacket gets a 5. It's nearly as good as other premium jackets. The leather is pretty darn good for a motorcycle jacket, so is the weight, and the colour is great. Whenever I've worn it, people ask about it. My chest is 42/43 and waist a 32. Went with the XL. I prefer riding with snug jackets, so the extra space around the chest, bunch in the tummy area is more than I'm used to but, not to deterrent to the look of the jacket. If I wasn't in the US, I would have gone for the large and broken it in. Its not hard to imagine that the pits would have been quite snug as the XL nearly rubs mine. My objections are really with Urban Rider processing. Other european online retailers, even when stating that fulfillment will take X amount of days, fulfill the order the same day or the following. And, in a marketplace with such retailers, it becomes difficult to choose urban rider.”

“Amazing jacket that matches my 100% Barstow “ Carlyle” goggles and Bell Moto3 “Blackout”. Fits comfortably (I went up a size. 6ft tall 80kgs 40inch chest) and removed the bulky lvl 2 armour in favour of using my Knox action shirt. Soft leather amazing look and very warm. Another excellent product by Helstons.”

“This is a great jacket, the leather is supple and feels substantial. The size Gide is excellent and the fit is superb. It comes with armour that is adequate, although I have fitted D3O ghost armour to reduce the bulk a little. All in all a great jacket at a great price”
