“Great quality and style. Fits great and the leather feels very soft. Have to be careful not to take out in the rain. The only real confusion is around the armor. You have to put it in the jacket yourself but the holes to get them in seem far too small. I’m afraid of ripping the fabric lining of the jacket to try and put them in. Even after you put them you can’t really adjust them. I might just be doing something wrong but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of info online on it.”

“After lusting after this jacket for months I bit the bullet and ordered it. Absolutely lives up to expectations, despite the thick leather it is superbly supple and surprisingly light. When partially undone I do occasionally get a poke in the neck from the collar, but this is not uncomfortable and the trim makes it sumptuous to wear. If I have one complaint it’d be the smell with which the jacket arrived, I have pondered on it and cannot place it, although it is vaguely familiar. A soapy chemically odour, whilst not odiously offensive it is not the whiff of leather one would hope to be greeted by upon opening the box. This said, two or three rides in and it had totally vanished, I’m sure it was just some preservative or treatment of the hide, and no doubt it will not be the worst it’ll smell as the quality assures me it’ll serve decades of long sweaty miles of service. Beautifully cut and finished, the ball chain pulls, whilst fiddly to unwrap from their protective transit wrap, make accessing pockets, sleeves etc incredibly easy even in gloves and the armour is the right balance of reassuringly chunky and unobtrusively comfortable. (I do wish they’d included the back protector however.) The drop back perfectly conceals any inference that I may be a builder- even on the Zx7r- I’m sure of great relief to anyone following me down the road. I would prefer some way to attach the jacket to my jeans- the opulent liner somewhat deters me from just ham-fistedly stitching a connection zip as I have with other jackets. I think it is fair to say that despite a five star review this jacket is not perfect, but lack of back protector, Jean-connection, unsolicited neck poking and even its malodorous arrival are all instantly forgiven, outshone in my impression of the jacket by its quality workmanship, flawless design, and that most ethereal thing- the way it makes you feel on the bike. Bravo goldtop!”
