“Recently purchase this style jacket and am happy with the quality. I would recommend ordering up a size if you are going to add a (not included) back protector and plan to wear anything other then a tee shirt beneath it. Those familiar with European sizing are aware that the cut of their jackets are much more fitted then those marketed in the States. Overall, as an owner of a custom fit Lewis Leather jacket, the Gold Top is well made and a real value.”

“Excellent motorcycle jacket at a reasonable price. FIT The fit is excellent. I’m a hair under 5’10” for 164lbs and a 41” chest, 31” jeans. I wear Medium shirts unless they’re long-sleeved in which case I take Large (I ordered the size 40 jacket). It’s worth noting the cuffs are very snug once zipped which makes closing the zippers difficult when wearing longer gloves. I wear short gloves though, so this works out just the way I like it. ARMOUR I purchased the extra Knox back armour. The kit is easy to install and is imperceptible once in, apart from the back armour which shows slightly during certain movements. I only wish the elbow pieces reached further towards the wrists. PROS - The leather is listed as 1.4mm (3.5oz). It’s hard to measure but I can’t see why anyone would want to buy a jacket advertised with less than 3oz leather. - Classic, sober design with the diagonal zipper and its large tab. I would have preferred zippers with gussets to the sides of the waist but the buckles seem to be doing the job rather well albeit with more adjusting. CONS The cons are all apparent from the product description/photos, there were no unpleasant surprises. - Lack of ventilation slots around the armpits. A low-cost alteration that is so practical. - Although the liner looks great, it is not removable. - The other zippers only have those dangly ball-chains instead of the larger pull-tabs. It works, I am just not a fan. - Other than the back centre seem, there doesn’t appear to be any triple-stitching. SHIPPING The package was shipped the very next day. Arrival was at the lengthier end of the estimate but still rather quick. I did have to pay a heavy toll with import taxes though. BOTTOM LINE Although some design elements could be better, I’m happy with the purchase as you’re getting a good looking armoured jacket for a reasonable price.”

“Excellent quality throughout. Thick leather (almost too thick at the sleeve v-flap makes it hard to fasten over a glove). Fits true to size. Will last a lifetime. Looks brilliant too, love the gold inside and red inner collar. Well worth the money. Back protector pocket is designed for the knox back insert so if planning on wearing back protector the normal size protectors in most bike jackets do not fit...you will need the knox one.”

“I can definitely see and feel the great quality in this jacket. The leather was beautiful and supple the stitching was spot-on and small details every ware. I was also happy that the gold interior was not a loud gold it was subtle. It does run a little large, but I like my clothes to be snug. Leather will stretch. One issue was that the snap at the collar was missing. I sent an email to urban rider and they took care of it. So buy with confidence.”
