“I wear Arai or Simpson usually. Turns out I also wear Biltwell now as well! So the negatives… Is it a bit noisy? Yes, of course it is, it’s shaped liked Darth Vader’s head & I doubt he ever bothered with a wind tunnel, what with all the general doom & empire whooping he had going on. But then in fact, Arai’s & Simpson’s aren’t exactly the epitome of silence either. Venting & no I’m not talking about shouting at it when you’re in a bad mood, although I suppose you could if that’s your thing, I doubt it will care! It has a lot of venting in the front which can’t be closed off, nice on a hot day, wear a scarf on a cold day, in fact, if you can find a pair of Hi-tec basket ball boots it’d be just like the 80’s again, especially if you have a black bomber jacket!! Nope, no awkward buttons or sliders to fiddle with, just air in the front. Now you might be forgiven for thinking that I don’t much like this helmet, you would be wrong. I love it. The overall quality is that of a far more expensive helmet. The fit & finish is excellent. The interior has a nice plush feel to it & it just feels well put together as you wear it. It’s also comfy, very comfy in fact. I recently purchased a Ruroc 4.0 which I sent back, poor quality and very uncomfortable. The Biltwell looks good as well, they’ve managed to pull off the “road legal” alterations of the original Simpson bandit better than Simpson, the proportions are spot on. Just whilst I’m on the subject of looks, the quality of the paint is excellent as well, oh and several shell sizes, well done Biltwell. I’m very impressed with this helmet, at this price point I wouldn’t look anywhere else, yes it does have a couple of flaws, but for looks, comfort & build quality, you really can’t go wrong in my view, and my view is from behind the black visor of a Biltwell Lane Splitter 2!”

“I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly. Quality is very high for a helmet in this price range. Looks great in matte black too. The only downside is the always open vents on the chin which means it can get cold/damp in there at high speed or when it’s raining.”
