Really happy with it, fits through the brake discs on each side and through the wheel spokes. Not too heavy in the backpack. Looks and feels strong, hopefully it detures theifs away

I'm very impressed with the heft, build quality and practicality of the DX1000. It easy fits over the front wheel of my motorbike, feels very strong, but isn't impossible to pack with you on the bike. So is great for home security as well as on the road. It almost fits over the back wheel but not quite, which is a shame but is a small niggle and indeed it may fit over other motorcycle rear wheels.

Good lock, fits well, don't cause any scratches to the bike. Very good response from the videos online that it helds up well against angle grinder attacks, so happy in that regards. I wish it was slighlty longer as I have a fat tyre bike 20x 4 wheel. So it's difficult to lock the tyre well but it locks the frame nicely.

It's a very good lock but it also comes at a hefty price.

At last I can lock my bike up and not worry about it vanishing while I'm at a meeting or getting supplies from local shops. Unlike other D locks it doesn't rattle while riding. Lovely solid heavy weight to it. Great key hole cover to stop muck clogging the key hole. Had no trouble locking my bike to all sorts of railings and secure street furniture despite the lock appearing relatively small. It cost more than some other locks but this lock gives me peace of mind which I would not have with lesser locks and it also fits very easily into my backpack. There is an old saying... 'You get what you pay for' and you really do with this lock. I have not tested it's ability to resist an attack from an angle grinder because I don't have an angle grinder and I don't want to spoil it's looks. I have read enough reviews to feel extremely confident that my lock will put up a great fight against any angle grinders. If you are reading this, I don't work for HIPLOCK or sell their locks. I just ride a bike and I am fed up with having to worry about it being where I left it when I need to cycle home. I really don't worry now !!. Can't put a price on that.

So far so good! The Hiplok D1000 is super robust and heavy duty. I really like the overall look, shape, size and rubber feel to the lock. It has a really smooth locking mechanism and just feels very high quality. After having multiple friends fall victim to motorcycle theft, I decided I need to invest in the best lock I could find to keep my pride and joy safe. So, after lots of research, I nailed it down to either this or the Litelok X3. I went for the Hiplok as I preferred the design and it was slightly smaller and would fit perfectly in my small side panel bag on my motorcycle. I use the D1000 to secure my front wheel on my Street Twin. It’s big enough to go through a wheel spoke and around the one side of the front shock. That coupled with its ultra strong mental compound that’s highly angle grinder resistant, I can leave my bike on the streets of London without panicking it’s going to get nicked the second I turn my back. Yes every lock is breakable but having this beast securing your bike will be a huge deterrent to any thief who will probably go looking for something easier to steal and even if they do fancy their chances, they’ll need at least 4+ discs with them on their crappy low torque better powered angle grinder they got from Argos. The Hiplok is very expensive but in my opinion it’s worth the money for the piece-of-mind. Would recommend this product!
