3/5 b/c the left glove BOA release system does not work properly. Gloves feel very well mad other than the closure/release system. Flexibility and features are decent.

Good quality gloves, had them a couple of years, solid, well made, and well ventilated. However, the touch screen pads on both index fingers are made of a material which after a year, dried out and now don't work at all, unless they are wet. Knox customer services essentially said that they didn't know what to do about it. Might be an easy fix to apply something to the material to refresh, but Knox were surprisingly completely unhelpful.

Ample protection, supple leather, and a fastening-system that allows for a quick, perfect fit. The level of armour on these gloves is enough to convince anyone that their hands should remain relatively unscathed in an accident. And yet, the gloves avoid being bulky and unwieldy, so I’m confident that I’ve still got full dexterity whilst using the controls. The leather is definitely of high quality, but the gloves remain perfectly breathable. And again, with regards to using the controls, the leather isn’t so dense as to remove all tactile feedback. The only thing I would say is that, whilst it’s nice not to have the seams meet at the fingertips, they’re still pretty noticeable along the sides of the fingers. Hopefully a little breaking in will sort that out, and I won’t feel them rubbing so much. As for the Boa system, I was worried that it would be a chunky feature, albeit a sophisticated one. Thankfully, I was proven wrong. It’s a low-profile dial that easily sits under the cuff of my jacket (not much different from wearing a watch), and as a means of dialling in that perfect fit, I’m a big fan!

I’m not convinced the fastening system at the wrist is better than a traditional Velcro strap - I can feel the rubber(?) on my wrist when I tighten it. Whether it gets uncomfortable on a long ride I’ve yet to see. I find it difficult to know how tight to tighten them. There’s no doubt it’s a cool looking and clever system though. I bought these for the touchscreen finger so I can cancel annoying Google “we’ve found you a faster route...” notifications. It’s not very sensitive and I’m probably going to have to remove my screen protector to make it reliable (iPhone XR with Quadlock screen protector). Otherwise they’re comfortable, fit well and are well made. Grip flex is subtle and easy. I like the safety features, eg wrist and knuckle protection. I like them in plain black too. Sizing advice by UR was spot on.
