“Door looks good, going and finished. However, there are several examples of poor construction: 1. I trimmed 1cm of the bottom of the door with a sharp track-saw. The rebated joints between the stiles and the bottom rails were not well enough glued for the offcut to remain in one piece. In a door of laminated construction, glued joints should be better.
2. A machining error on the outer top corner of one stile shows that it left the circular saw ‘squint’ and so has a ‘nick’ to half the depth of the stile revealing the radius of the offending saw blade.
3. It is a half glazed door. The earlier mentioned jointing rebates leave visible holes at the junctions between the stiles and rails, where the glass sits, that are not hidden by the wooden glazing strips, so filler required.
4. The door was marketed as ‘solid oak’. This implies solid boards, as opposed to the laminated boards used in the stiles, rails and mullion.”

“very reasonable priced and my fitter confirmed really good value and the oil was very easy to use and adds an extra richness to the wood. The panels have also allowed light to transfer throughout the rooms”
