Clean off dirt and paint from areas requiring treatment. Make sure walls and joints are flush. The Hydradry universal mortar and plugging compound are helpful for this purpose. Mix the 20 kg bag of powder with 3.2 to 4 litres of clean water. Wet the walls ready for the first slurry coat. Work the tanking slurry into the wall surface with a stiff brush. When the undercoat is dry, apply the top coat at right angles to it. The combined tanking layers must be at least 2 mm thick. Use a lightweight renovating plaster to shield the tanking and guard it against damage.
