“I usually have a very high opinion of Twinings tea, but not this time. I love lapsang souchong tea, and I thought that was what I would get when I ordered your "Distinctively Smokey" tea. But when it arrived I discovered that it was only "inspired" by lapsang souchong tea. According to the ingredients label, it was only black tea with 4 percent smoke flavoring added.
I was VERY disappointed. The Twinings "Distinctively Smokey" tea hit the kitchen trash can immediately, and I placed an order for lapsang souchong tea from Teaism in Washington, D.C.
Twinings used to offer genuine lapsang souchong tea. I bought boxes of your lapsang souchong teabags several times, and enjoyed them very much. I sincerely hope that Twinings will again offer genuine lapsang souchong tea in the future, instead of conning us with ordinary black tea & smoke flavoring.”
