“I used these socks in both trainers and welly boots while filming in Sri Lanka. This involved hiking in search of spiders and then filming them in late monsoon rains. They also act as brilliant ant leech socks - when rolled over the bottom of your trousers, as I was the only one not bitten.”

“They are thick with 2 layers. The inner stays on your foot so any friction is between the inner and outer layer and not between sock and skin which causes blisters. Made a wonderful difference to my distance walking.”
