“The travall 50:50 split gates are brilliant for keeping dogs & items safely stored while opening the boot. They are made of good quality machined parts compared to other more flimsey options, the one improvment I woulf recommend would be to have some safety latch on each gate to hold them in the open position while you unload your dogs/car.
The gates have a fair bit of weight and can easily be knocked out of the upright position while you are unloading dogs or luggage. This can result in hitting yourself with the gate or potentially your dog due to their being no way to secure the gate while unloading.
Despite this technically being an error on behalf of the person unloading I think the design would benefit greatly from this safety feature. I would still recommend the travall system to those looking to purchase a safe way to transport dogs. ( check your individual requirments and select the right size for you).”
