“Nicely finished and stained. Only critisism however is that the beam has a large crack running from one end through half its length. It was ordered on line, but if I was chosing a beam in the showroom I would have walked past this one. Only time will tell if this worsens when we start using the woodburner in the autumn.”

Hello, thanks for your review. We are glad you are pleased with the finish and stain on your beam. Cracks are to be expected from this product as advertised online, we are proud to say our beams have been very well air dried for between 3-5 years and cracks are a good sign the beam is nice and dry which is what you want if installing above a fire :)

“My beam arrived much quicker than I expected so that was a nice surprise and I'm delighted with it. I wasn't sure if it was going to be too chunky but it is perfect and gives the authentic look I wanted. There is enough depth on the shelf to put bits on but I only intend putting fairy lights on it.”
